What We Do
|
MBWI is dedicated to the success and growth of its members across all platforms. Weekly meetings are held that focus on different topics important to collegiate women such as self-care exercises, resume building, mentorship outreach, and professional development workshops. We also hold events, some closed and open to the public, such as SHE-E-O, which brings together members and women on campus and in the community who can share their journeys, successes and failures in their careers. Members will also have several community service opportunities throughout the year such as volunteering at local food pantries and setting up rest stops for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. MBWI members even have the unique opportunity to partner with Mizzou Alternative Breaks for a weekend service trip during spring break. Membership is granted after an application and interview process which is held annually at the beginning of the Fall semester. Please feel free to check out our past events and come back periodically for information on any upcoming events!
