Our Mission
|
The purpose of Mizzou Black Women's Initiative is to equip African-American female students with the appropriate tools to be successful leaders in their undergraduate careers and in their future endeavors. We will achieve this high standard of excellence through academic, social and professional development. By promoting the integrity of our guiding principles of having active participation, carrying yourself in a respectable manner at all times, being open-minded, respecting the opinions and ideas of others, being of service to others, building relationships, not having a negative attitude, being punctual, and treating others the way you want to be treated. We seek to instill these qualities into our members in effort to cultivate passionate leaders. To do so, we meet weekly on Mondays with each meeting tailored to different themes.
